Leyland PD’s Northern Countries BUF 425C

New to Southdown Motor Services in 1965, the vehicle was delivered as a convertible ie. with demountable roof, for Summer open top running. Remaining with Southdown until 1976, passing to Applebys Travel for open top use in Scarborough. Purchased by Wallace Arnold in 1999, the open topped vehicle was used extensively by their Torquay depot.

Sold to Classic Connections in 2005, purchased from them by Palmers of Wakefield in 2007. Now with Andrew James Travel, Tewkesbury.

Time Line

April 05 – Collect vehicle from Wallace Arnold Torquay depot, Ken Brindley, Barry Rennison & Eric Buckle.
Octover 06 – Sold to Andrew Palmer, Palmers of Wakefield.
